Police Devaluing Black Lives

How much longer are we going to let this happen? Has America ever valued black lives? Will we reach a point where we’re finally accepting the truth and willing to dismantle the entire criminal justice system and rebuild it in a way that makes black lives equal in the eyes of the law and law enforcement?

The depiction in the video above shows Alex Landau, who is African American, recalling how he nearly lost his life following a traffic stop with the Denver police. He and his mother, Patsy, who is white, remembered that night and how it changed them both forever.
