Socially Urban Blog was established by Traline DeMon Spencer in 2008.  The main focus of Socially Urban is progressive politics, civil rights, gay rights, social justice, income equality, exposing political hypocrisy and the manipulations perpetrated by the 1%,  and sharing personal experiences told through the eyes of Socially Urban’s founder, a gay African American liberal democrat from the south.

“I am not a professional journalist or writer.  I have a degree in business administration/finance but writing and politics is truly where my heart is.  I love to challenge long held beliefs that people mistakenly take as truth, and my blog is the perfect outlet for that.  I update Socially Urban once or twice a week and I’m constantly adding new and exciting content. I also create custom graphics to accompany each blog post.  Socially Urban is truly a labor of love and I’m happy to share it with anyone who’s interested in reading it.”
