16 Things That Can Get You Killed If You’re Black

There’s a huge crisis that’s been building for decades here in America but is finally getting attention now due to the popularity of smartphones and the HD quality cameras embedded within them.  Police brutality against black Americans are getting documented and the extreme cases where they kill an unarmed black man, teenager, or child are almost becoming an everyday occurrence.  This list below is just a small sampling out of hundreds of similar cases that all happened within the last 2 years.  I have included the name of the victim if you’d like to do further research on a particular case.  Every name and infraction on the list legitimizes a need for a #BlackLivesMatter slogan / hashtag / protest / social media campaign because the officers who have so callously taken these lives do not seem to value that life when the victim is black.
